We are not calling for the abolition of the punitive structures of the child welfare system but the building of community structures where care, support, and healing for families can take place. Child welfare abolition is about developing structures that protect children, rather than separating children from their families. We invite you to join us in this collective journey of amplifying voices, sharing stories, and building radical justice, equity, and love as alternatives to child welfare. Together, we are imagining futures where families are supported, frames of criminalization are absent.
